This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
Moire interference pattern, illustration. This interference pattern is formed by superimposing two regular sets of lines on one another at certain angles. The effect can be used to test material surface regularity. A piece of glass etched with regular parallel lines is placed in front of the specimen. A shadow of this reference grating is cast onto the specimen by a beam of light projected from a 45 degree angle. Any warping of the specimen's surface will result in Moire fringes appearing due to the interference pattern between the reference and shadow grating.
